WHAT IS ICE4DOGS ?      Hello, My name is Connie Perkins, founder of ICE4Dogs. I would like to tell you exactly what ICE4Dogs does for you as a pet owner. ICE4Dogs is a new concept here in the United States that gives you, the pet owner, peace of mind should you be involved in an accident or an untimely death. ICE4Dogs is a service that contacts your designated caregiver(s) in case of emergency. This is a person who will know exactly what you want done with your pet(s) if something happens to you unexpectedly. When you register with ICE4Dogs, your information is stored in our database. You will receive an EMERGENCY ID KIT  which contains a personal ID card with your access code, a dog tag, crate tag and a window sticker all with our emergency numbers.  More dog tags, crate tags and window stickers are available for purchase if you are a multi-pet family. We recommend that you do get a tag for each pet and that you put the window sticker on each of your vehicles and a front window of your home(s).  Your individual code connects you and your pet within our database.  We ask that you give us two (2) contacts. Whether they be family or friends, they should be someone who agrees to be the caregiver for your pet(s) in case of an emergency and consent to being the contact person of record in our database. When an emergency response team contacts us, we will contact your emergency contact person within 24 hours. If your contact person cannot be reached within the 24 hour window, ICE4Dogs will stay in contact with the facility where your pet is being housed and will assure them that every effort is being made to reach your contact person.  If your pet incurs any fees such as boarding and/or Veterinary care, your caregiver will be responsible for those expenses at the time of pickup.  What does ICE4DOGS service cost?  There is a one time fee for your EMERGENCY ID KIT  ($49.95) and your annual fee ($30.00).  Your kit includes your personal ID card with your database identification code, one dog tag, one crate tag, a window sticker and entry into the database. Other dog tags, crate tags or window stickers are available for an additional charge. (see Products page)  Each year your renewal fee will be $30.00 which is due prior to the anniversary of your registration date.  For less than 10 cents a day you will have peace of mind, knowing you have prepared for the care of your beloved pet(s). This service is only available for pets in the United States.
